There is nothing that destroys the psych of a student more than getting lusty sex from their teacher. It’s a wonder that any of these kids recover from this soul crunching experience. Now, seriously. Although it can hurt a girl much more than a boy and while a teacher having sex with a male student is always wrong, let’s not pretend that the boy didn’t enjoy the experience. Again, this does not absolve any of these teacher’s blame and they should have to pay a price for their crime. Let’s just keep things in perspective.
A 35-year-old chemistry teacher in Florida has been arrested for having sex with a 17-year-old student.
Port St. Lucie High School teacher Tiffany Geliga was arrested on Thursday on two counts of sexual battery of a victim age 16 or 17.
Authorities say they started investigating Geliga when the mother of another student at the school noticed her son texting with the teacher.
Her son told administrators at the school that he believed Geliga was in a sexual relationship with another student.
Cops listened in on a call between the student in question and Geliga and she admitted to the sex acts.
The student said that he had sex with Geliga in her car on two separate occasions, once in April 2017 and again in May 2017.
Geliga had been working at the school since August 2014.
A spokesman for St. Lucie County Schools issued a statement, reading:
‘St. Lucie Public Schools is aware that an employee has been arrested amid allegations of inappropriate conduct with a student. This individual is non-reappointed for the coming school year and has been placed on temporary duty assignment away from students while the investigation continues.
‘Allegations of this sort are a serious breach of ethics. Such behavior is inexcusable and is of great concern to the School District as it is contrary to the mission of providing a safe and caring teaching and learning environment.’
