The cafe/bar inside the Osaka Hilton is offering a discount based on the size of your high heels. The discount can range from 10% to 40%. Although the bar patrons aren’t complaining, you knew that pseudo feminists would be screaming their heads off. They claim that a woman has the right to choose……..unless it doesn’t fit into their ideology.
According to Rocket News, the heels must be at least two inches (five centimeters), which gets you ten percent off any non-course meal menu options, including My Place’s selection of craft beers, organic wines, and cocktails.
Discounts increase by five percent for every two-centimeters increment, up to a maximum of fifteen-centimeters, which gets you 30%.
Go beyond fifteen centimeters and you get the top discount of 40% discount and hopefully a foot massage because that equals about six inch heels.
While I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who like it, others saw it as completely sexist and frankly, kind of impractical.
A sociologist from a 2014 study on male behavior might hold the answer.
Jean-Claude Kaufmann said: ‘In a seduction setting, men are very attracted by a woman in heels as she looks taller, more sexually confident, sure of herself, and has a lengthened silhouette and sensual jutting buttocks.’
Is “sensual jutting buttocks” a technical term?
Regardless, they’re hoping to increase the sex appeal, increase the drinking, and hopefully increase their business.
