For the daughter of a brave fallen police officer, she attended her prom in a way that will never be forgotten, according to Fox11 LA. Once you view the photos of how the Riverside, California Police Department celebrated the memory of fallen Detective Doug Jacobs, whose 17-year-old daughter Rachel was only 6-month old when he was killed in the line of duty, your heart will break with joy.

Just as Rachel was preparing to leave her home for the prom she received the surprise of the life when former colleagues of her dad showed up at her home with a full police escort. In fact, there was also an air unit which hovered above he to give her date and her an excellent send-off.

Since Rachel’s dad was not there to give her dad the formal “dad warning” about bringing his little princess back home at a decent hour, the officers gave her date the “talking to” before escorting them from her home, according to Breitbart.

All of the amazing activities were captured by “Air 1,” the police department’s Aerial Support Division, also known as “Air 1.”

The truly heartening part of the story has to be how the police department decided to share these very treasured memorable moments on their Facebook and twitter social media pages so that the city as well as the state and nation could join in and celebrate this treasured event for Rachel.
