Explosive Report: Trump ‘Furious And Beyond Angry’ Over His Impeachment Team

Former President Trump is irate over how his defense team did on Tuesday in the second absurd impeachment case against him. In an explosive report that Fox News shared, Trump was “furious” and “beyond angry” with his defense team’s strategy on the first day of the trial.

Here is more from Fox News:

“Two sources in fact, who spent time with the former president today described him as being quote, ‘furious and beyond angry’ with his impeachment defense team,” Fox News correspondent Kevin Corke reported. “He was especially upset with attorney Bruce Castro, as you pointed out for his quotes, rambling opening argument. The former president spending the day watching the trial from inside his private quarters at Mar-A-Lago, no golf with the very same plan for tomorrow.”

“Meanwhile, at a time when he certainly could opt to reduce the political temperature in the country, Mr. Biden apparently is taking a pass, opting instead to not weigh in as his predecessors being impeached once again, despite what critics have called hypocrisy on the left, and a deafening silence from the White House,” Corke added.

Fox News added:

The sources, who spent time with Trump, said he was particularly incensed with the effort thus far by his attorney Bruce Castor. Trump believes Castor gave a rambling opening argument, they said. Castor’s 45-minute opening remarks were widely panned on social media after he praised the House impeachment managers for a job “well done.”

“The American people just spoke and they just changed administrations,” Castor said at one point. He said the public is smart enough to “pick a new administration if they don’t like the old one, and they just did.”

Trump watched the proceedings from his quarters in Mar-a-Lago, in Palm Beach, Fla. The AP, citing an unnamed source, said Trump was impressed with the opening video presentation from Democrats. Trump’s team did not immediately respond to an email from Fox News.

Castor defended his performance in an interview after Tuesday’s first day of the Senate trial, according to the Wall Street Journal.

“You put 100 people in the same room, you’re going to get 100 different opinions. We only lost one…so I believe we had a good day,” he said, adding that his “well done” statement was not an acknowledgment that the Democrat case was more effective.

Cassidy said that anyone who listened to Trump’s team “saw they were unfocused, they attempted to avoid the issue. And they talked about everything but the issue at hand.”

David Schoen, another attorney for Trump, told Fox News anchor Sean Hannity on Tuesday that the impeachment trial is bad for the country and would not “advance any cause of good in the country.”

“It’s common sense,” he said. “Nobody thinks of using the impeachment process for anything other than removing a civil official from office.”

If the Democrats had any sense at all they would stop these ridiculous proceedings since they are setting a precedent for any other government official to be impeached after leaving office.

You hear, that Obama?
