In an effort to provide cover for the Biden administration on Friday, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre flat-out lied, despite the fact that the Biden administration has been on the defense due to cocaine discovered within the White House.
Pierre made the false assertion that the Biden family was not present when cocaine was discovered inside the White House when reporters persisted in questioning her about the situation.
The whole Biden family, including First Son Hunter Biden, was reportedly there last Friday in the White House, according to the White House Pool account.
When it found out that Pierre was in error, he went so far as to criticize the New York Post, calling their story “irresponsible” due to the supposed factual error.
The argument started when Caitlin Doornbos, a reporter for the New York Post, asked Jean-Pierre whether he could “say once and for all whether or not the cocaine belonged to the Biden family,” prompting Pierre to reprimand her.
Before, in an odd attempt to avoid questions about who owned the cocaine found within the White House, Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates referenced the Hatch Act.
The Hatch Act was enacted by Congress to forbid federal employees from using public funds to support partisan candidates.
FOX News Reported:
Conservatives skewered White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre after she scolded a reporter for asking if cocaine found in the West Wing of the White House belonged to the Bidens.
During Friday’s press briefing, New York Post reporter Caitlin Doornbos asked if Jean-Pierre could “say once and for all whether or not the cocaine belonged to the Biden family” and also inquired as to why deputy press secretary Andrew Bates dodged questions related to the cocaine by citing the Hatch Act the day before.
Jean-Pierre appeared visibly uncomfortable as she responded, “There has been some irresponsible reporting about the family. And so I’ve got to call that out here. And I have been very clear. I was clear two days ago when talking about this over and over again as I was being asked the question.”
Karine Jean-Pierre just said the Bidens were not at the White House on Friday when the cocaine was found.
