Dads can be so embarrassing sometimes, but they can also make you feel better about your own embarrassments.
When kindergartner Valerie Sowards recently had an accident at school, she had to call home to have her dad pick her up. Valerie’s mom Connie told her husband Ben that their daughter was incredibly distraught over the incident and was crying uncontrollably. So her dad responded so amazingly that the Internet instantly fell in love with how he handled it.
His 17-year-old daughter Lucinda decided to share her dad’s epic reaction and people everywhere are applauding his efforts to make sure his little girl didn’t feel so embarrassed.
My little sis had an accident today at kindergarten & this is how my dad left to pick her up so she wouldn’t feel so sad/embarrassed ??❤️ pic.twitter.com/veHMFO4QHr

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Ben said: “My heart kind of just broke.”
That’s when the Utah dad decided to splash water on his pants to make it look as if he’d had an accident, too. He went into the school’s office to pick up Valerie. He even held her backpack in front of the wet spot on his pants to hide it.
“She looked at me with just the biggest incredulity,” he said to BuzzFeed, adding that his daughter started laughing. And that was the goal – to make her feel better.
Talk about a Superdad! Not only is Ben’s response thought to be the best EVER, it’s likely this foster dad of 11(!! – yes 11!!) has the capacity to make all of his children feel special, loved and as normal as possible for life!
