A retired Chamblee, Georgia, police officer, Kelless Twohearts Lory, 58, was found guilty of 2 counts of child molestation and two charges of aggravated child molestation in DeKalb County, Georgia. Once he heard the verdict, Lory did something no one expected and he drank poison there in the courtroom. Unfortunately, doctors were able to save his worthless life and he will recover fully. The only consolation is that at his sentencing, he could be given 2 life sentences plus 40 years. There it could go rough on him because there are two things prisoners don’t like, cops and child molesters and he is both.
On April 7, a jury found Kelless Twohearts Lory, 58, guilty of two counts of aggravated child molestation and two counts of child molestation, according to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office. The female victim, who testified at trial, was 9 years old when the abuse began in July 2011; it continued for one year. She was reportedly related to Lory.
Lory had already retired from the Chamblee Police Department when the abuse occurred. He was arrested in 2014. As the guilty verdict was read by the jury foreman, Lory drank an unknown liquid from an over-the-counter vitamin bottle, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
After arriving at the DeKalb jail, deputies discovered that the liquid Lory drank was poisonous. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment. Lory faces two life sentences plus 40 years for his offenses and will be sentenced at a later date.
