Remember last year, when the world imploded over the George Floyd video? I know you do! How could anyone forget the summer of riots with people burning down cities for justice, saying that the entire police force was racist and that we must defund the police.

Ahh, good times.

Well, now we are gearing up for the trial of the officers who supposedly are the biggest racists alive who killed this “gentle” man for simply being black.

Van Jones is already fanning the flames of division saying that if the jury doesn’t come back with the “right” verdict that the streets will be burned down again, and now this. Never-before-seen surveillance footage shows Floyd acting in an unusual manner during his time in the store.

“Video showed that Floyd appeared animated, a bit unsteady on his feet as he ambled about Cup Foods and eventually bought cigarettes with a suspected fake $20 bill,” the Star Tribune reported.

The clerk, named Christopher Martin, also testified that Floyd had trouble speaking and seemed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

“When you were communicating with him, what was his demeanor like?” Minnesota Asst. Attorney General Matthew Frank asked him.

“When I asked him if he played baseball he went on to respond,” Martin answered. “But it kind of took him a little long to get to what he was trying to say. So, it appeared that he was high.”

It was reported in June 2020 that George Floyd’s medical examiner’s report showed numerous health problems that pre-existed before his incident with police.

“A full autopsy report on George Floyd, the man who died after being restrained by Minneapolis police last month, reveals that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19,” NPR reported. “The 20-page report also indicates that Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system at the time of his death, although the drugs are not listed as the cause.”

Autopsies varied about the exact cause of death for Floyd. The autopsy report from Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office concludes the cause of death was “cardiopulmonary arrest complicating law enforcement subdual, restraint, and neck compression.”

But an independent examiner hired by the Floyd family listed the cause of death as “asphyxiation from sustained pressure.”

The exact cause of death for Floyd is a key question in the ongoing trial of Derek Chauvin, the arresting officer who kneeled on Floyd’s neck prior to the subject’s death. The defense attorneys for Chauvin argue that Floyd had succumbed to a drug overdose and had pre-existing health issues, such as a heart condition.
