President Joe Biden has finally responded to Republicans’ impeachment investigation, and his response was less than persuasive.
On Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy declared that House Republicans would launch a formal impeachment investigation into the president, alleging a “culture of corruption” in the Biden family.
On Wednesday, Biden did not address the problem on Tuesday but spoke about it at a campaign fundraiser in McLean, Virginia.
However, the president remained silent rather than responding to the particular claims levied against him, claiming he had no idea why House Republicans were conducting the investigation.
“Well, I tell you what, I don’t know quite why, but they just knew they wanted to impeach me,” Biden said.
He went on to say that Republicans were attempting impeachment as part of their strategy in the ongoing budget debate.
“Now, best I can tell they want to impeach me because they want to shut down the government,” the president said, according to The Hill.
In essence, Biden informed contributors that there is no foundation for this investigation and that it is a politically motivated farce designed to disgrace him.
Naturally, no one who has been paying attention will accept this explanation. The Republicans’ motivations may be political, but the basis for their claims against the president is obvious, and Biden is well aware of this.
This is about his suspected involvement with his son Hunter Biden’s questionable business practices, which has haunted the Biden family even before Joe Biden became president.
The New York Post broke the story three years ago, revealing stunning data discovered from a laptop left at a Delaware repair shop by the president’s son.
Hunter Biden is the subject of a criminal investigation, and evidence is mounting that, despite the president’s repeated denials, he was aware of and involved in some of his son’s activities.
The first family’s integrity is being called into question here, and the American people want to know if the president was involved in corruption.
Biden’s decision to just dismiss the inquiry is a dumb and out-of-touch move.
What makes this statement even funnier is that the president then claims his complete attention is on tackling the nation’s problems.
“I get up every day not focused on impeachment. I’ve got a job to do. I’ve got to deal with issues that affect the American people every single solitary day,” he said, according to The Hill.
Biden claims to be addressing the challenges confronting the American people, despite the fact that he has done a dismal job of dealing with them throughout his presidency.
He has failed to address inflation, the crime epidemic, illegal immigration, or the grave prospect of conflict with Russia and China since taking office.
Consensus was 0.4%
Came in at almost twice that +0.7%
Again, the largest increase since June 2022.

If Joe Biden wants the American people to have more faith in him and his family, he needs to be upfront and address the public’s worries about him.
