Baltimore Politely Asks People To Stop Murdering Each Other

By David Hoostead, Daily Caller

In one of the bravest and most courageous moves in recent political history, some in the city of Baltimore are asking people to stop shooting and killing each other.

Erricka Bridgeford and other neighborhood leaders are asking individuals in Baltimore, which has already had 188 murders this year, to stop killing each other, according to The Baltimore Sun.

“Nobody kill anybody,” is the message for the neighborhood leaders for August 4 through August 6. The Baltimore Sun article also features many people referring to this as a “ceasefire.”

Honestly, we should applaud the actions of these individuals. Has anybody ever thought to simply ask gangbangers and thugs to stop murdering themselves and innocent people? It could work, so it’s worth a shot. Of course, we might ultimately find out these are just violent people who do violent things, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.

Maybe this is why violence and terrorism in the Middle East have gotten so bad. Imagine if after 9/11 President Bush had asked Islamic terrorists to stop killing people? We probably wouldn’t have had another death in the entire region.

Ironically, at the same time they’re calling for a ceasefire on American streets — yes, you read that correctly — the city of Baltimore is also debating new gun control laws. Luckily, during the debate they at least recognize the dangers on the streets of Baltimore and the need to be armed.

“I’m concerned about people, for example, who are carrying illegal guns to protect themselves because they’re so scared and that’s the first thing I’m thinking of. We know the dangers out there. We know the violence that comes from guns, but still we need to take this seriously and have hearings and considerations and then move forward,” Mary Pat Clarke Baltimore representative told the media about a mandatory minimum bill for illegal gun possession.

The city of Baltimore: it’s so violent we need a ceasefire, and it’s so violent people need to illegally carry guns.

That slogan should do great on a tourism flyer.

P.S.: As somebody who is legally licensed to carry a concealed weapon and owns plenty of other weapons, I think it’s insanity to ever travel to a city like Baltimore unarmed.
