Ashli Babbitt’s Family Has Just Announced They Are Suing For The TRUTH!

Ashli Babbitt’s Family Has Just Announced They Are Suing For The TRUTH!

In the aftermath of the January 6th protests at the Capitol brought a lot of questions along with it. One of the biggest questions would have to be that of who shot and killed Air Force Ashli Babbit, and that remains unanswered. As time marches on, more and more people are demanding answers. In that regard, this is one of the main reasons why Rep. Devin Nunes is calling for answers and wants the videotape from the day of the shooting.

The family of Ashli Babbit is now suing the Metropolitan Police Department for records of the specific officer who had shot her and ended her life during the January 6th Capitol riots. Babbit’s husband has also filed a Freedom of Information Act request so that he can get the records from the Metropolitan Police Department as well.

Furthermore, the lawsuit is asking for all video footage, documentation, and witness testimony of the shooting at the Capitol on January 6th to be released, especially those that would give investigators more clues into the nature of her death.

According to Devin Nunes, here is where we go from here:

“The family has now filed a lawsuit. They are handling this like any other circumstance where there was an officer-involved shooting: they and many other people are going out there and saying, ‘Where’s the videotape? Where’s the videotape?’ We need to know this and we know what officer did this…why are we living under a different set of rules? I think that is exactly what the Babbitt family is asking, and I stand in agreement with them. We need to know who the shooter is…to this day, House Republicans still have not seen the videotapes from the incidents inside the Capitol. Why is that? Why is that we don’t have that? Shouldn’t we have an accounting of the dozens of people who broke the windows versus the ones who were actually let in by the Capitol Police?”

That’s a good question, Representative Nunes. That’s actually an excellent question.

Eventually, the Department of Justice decided not to file justice against the police officers involved in this shooting last April.

Part of the reason for that is because the Department of Justice thinks that it was likely that the police officer was acting in self-defense because he caught Babbitt crawling through a window.

If the Capitol Police have nothing to hide, then they should be able to answer some simple questions, primarily this main one: who shot Ashli Babbitt? And why can’t you show the 14,000 hours of Capitol video protest footage?

The family is also expected to file a lawsuit against the Metropolitan Police Department, based on the fact that they believe the police officer in question used excessive force. Their asking price in this lawsuit is going to be at least $10 million.
