An Immigration Judge Caught In Human Smuggling Operation!

You can’t make this stuff up…

According to sources, a federal immigration judge, Timothy Daniel Japhet, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly smuggling human beings across the southern border.

Currently, Japhet claims that no indictment has been handed down. He was arrested with four other men, presumably, men he allegedly intended to smuggle, and has been charged with human smuggling by the Kinney County authorities.

Japhet is still licensed to practice law as an attorney…

The Post Millennial reports:

According to Galveston County Constable Jimmy Fullen, Timothy Daniel Japhet was arrested and charged for the “smuggling of a human and resisting arrest” in Kinney County, TX.

Fullen made the announcement on his Facebook page, along with pictures of Japhet and the four men he was accused of smuggling across the US-Mexico border.

The Blaze had Japhet’s response to the arrest:

Japhet told reporters that he has not been indicted and that he expects the case to be dropped.

He also denied Fuller’s assertion that he is a “Federally appointed immigration magistrate.”

He stated that he practices immigration law only as it pertains to those who own property in Mexico.

His bio on the state bar website does not mention anything about immigration law.
