A top FBI official testified that the initial attempt to “get” Donald Trump was riddled with irregularities, making the raid on Mar-a-Lago appear to be a political attack rather than an act of justice. This comes as the left-wing establishment tries to “get” Trump once more.
Senior FBI officer Steven D’Antuono recently testified before the House Judiciary Committee that the August 2022 raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, which was ostensibly intended to recover confidential papers, was tainted by several procedural infractions.
D’Antuono stated that he has “strong concerns” over the rules that the FBI agents disregarded during the operation. According to Just the News, D’Antuono was the previous Assistant Director of the FBI’s Washington Field Office.
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland received a letter from House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan of Ohio outlining the official’s concerns.
D’Antuono “noted several unusual features in the Department’s handling” of the raid on Mar-a-Lago, Jordan wrote in his letter, adding.

“Mr. D’Antuono, who had over two decades of FBI experience, noted his frustration that the FBI was going to be ‘left holding the bag again’ with respect to the search of President Trump’s residence,” Jordan added.
Before the raid, the former FBI agent observed “several abnormalities” with the agency, even though the same organization appears unconcerned about the stacks of confidential documents discovered in Joe Biden’s garage, the current president.
First of all, D’Antuono was baffled as to why the raid was given to the Washington Field Office rather than the Miami office in the area of Florida closest to Mar-a-Lago. That alone gave the raid a political appearance rather than one of law enforcement.
Jordan further mentioned that D’Antuono claimed the Bureau never received permission to search Trump’s residence before obtaining a search warrant and also didn’t wait for Trump’s lawyer to arrive before breaking down doors and entering the property.
In addition, the US Justice Department failed to designate a US Attorney to supervise the FBI operation. The official questioned why the DOJ had been so bizarrely left out of the procedure.
Jordan wrote to Garland’s office to request an explanation for these procedure violations. The congressman also demanded access to all records related to the Mar-a-Lago raid.
“Please provide this information as soon as possible but not later than 5:00 p.m. on June 16, 2023,” Jordan’s letter concluded.
Jordan’s letter discloses that there were several procedural errors made during the raid, all of which appear to have been motivated by politics rather than by legal concerns.
There are also a lot of other important uncertainties surrounding that raid in 2022.
For instance, it was discovered in April that the White House and Biden had lied when they said they were not involved in the raid on Trump’s Florida estate.
Biden insisted that he was unaware of the raid and played no part in it for almost a year.
However, America First Legal discovered through a Freedom of Information Act request that Biden’s White House did communicate with the FBI and attempted to start the raid with a “special access request.”
The group said that the records show that “Biden officials in the Executive Office of the President and the Department of Justice unlawfully abused their power and then lied about it to the American people.”
The FBI visited Trump’s house two months before the raid to obtain the same documents, which has many people wondering why they didn’t simply take the documents then.
Additionally, when it was alleged that Mike Pence, Joe Biden, or Barack Obama had documents, why didn’t the FBI conduct armed raids on their residences? In a complete circus display, only Trump was searched.
Whatever the case, Trump appears to be gearing up to take this on. According to Fox News on Sunday, his attorney recently advised against accepting a plea agreement, indicating that they are prepared to take the matter to trial.
The DOJ’s complete lack of interest in the many years of the same behavior by Biden, Pence, and Obama—which Garland believes is such a massive crime in Trump’s case—is just one of many dubious government activities in this case.
In contrast to any attempt to respect the law, it unquestionably appears that the president of the United States is attempting to use the powers of law enforcement to destroy his political opponent in an upcoming election.
