The long-awaited ‘January 6’ tapes, which will provide the public more access to the events that took place at the ‘Stop the Steal’ demonstration, were teased for publication on Wednesday by Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.).
After being given access to the tapes by Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy, R-Ca, former FOX News personality Tucker Carlson broadcast portions of them, but he was only able to do so briefly before being fired following the Dominion settlement.
McCarthy and Greene made the announcement that John Solomon of Just the News, Senior Writer Julie Kelly of American Greatness, and a third publication—whose identity she withheld—would receive the tapes.

While many individuals were pleased that additional information from the tapes would be made public, others were disappointed that the tapes would not be made available to the public in their entirety.
McCarthy and Greene agreed to reveal the tapes to the public, according to a well-known conservative Twitter user going by the handle “Cat Turd,” and they only did so to “soften the blow” of McCarthy “screwing the public” because of the impending debt ceiling rise.
Because Antifa activists would use the tapes to “doxx” attendees of the protest, Greene stated that she opposed making the complete collection of tapes available to the public.
Again … the promise was to release it to the public.
Releasing it to 3 members of the press is a million miles away from that.

On Wednesday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene announced the release of the highly anticipated January 6 tapes. The Georgia congresswoman revealed that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy will be giving two journalists and a “third outlet” access to the thousands of hours of footage Twitter Files style, adding that their reporting on it would soon be shared with the public.
Greene had previously vowed to release the footage “to the people,” leading some to question why a select group of media figures had been given the opportunity to become middlemen between the content and the masses.
