Kamala Harris’ staff exodus continues…
Honestly, due to the number of staff leaving Kamala Harris, I’ve actually lost count. But I guess this is the 16th staffer over the past 18 months.
Adding to the long list now, it was announced that her speechwriter has now fled the VP’s office. Meghan Groob has stepped away from her job as Kamala’s wordsmith.
Since November, Harris has managed to drive off her communications director, then her Press Secretary Symone Sanders left in December for a gig at MSNBC. March saw the Deputy Press secretary depart, as well.
Here’s what Politico reported:
Vice President Kamala Harris’ director of speechwriting, Meghan Groob, is leaving the office less than four months into the job, two people familiar with the matter told POLITICO.
Groob was hired in April after Harris’ first chief speechwriter, Kate Childs Graham, left at the end of February. She had previously worked as a speechwriter for Bill Gates and as an editorial director at Gates Ventures.

In a separate report, on Friday The Washington Post reported that Kamala Harris’ longest-serving aide, Rohini Kosoglu is also quitting her job in August.
Again, if I’m not mistaken, this takes the total number of departures from just her office to 17 individuals. Add in the high number of flights from Biden’s team, and you have nearly 30 departures from the administration, in under 18 months.

Vice President Harris is set to lose one of her closest and longest-serving aides in August with the departure of domestic policy adviser Rohini Kosoglu, whose planned exit follows a major shake-up of the office late last year and into the spring.
Kosoglu, 38, previously served as chief of staff in Harris’s Senate office and on her unsuccessful presidential campaign. Her decision to leave comes amid concerns among some Democrats about high turnover on the vice president’s team and Harris’s political viability at a time when President Biden is saddled with low approval ratings.
In an interview, Kosoglu — who has three sons, ages 9, 6 and almost 3 — cited a desire to spend more time with her family and dismissed the notion that her departure should be viewed as part of a pattern of staff instability. Kosoglu has advised Harris on a range of issues, including maternal health, reproductive rights, broadband access and voting rights.

According to numerous reports, Kamala Harris is a “bully” and a total nightmare to work for.
Here’s what one former staffer told the Washington Post:
“It’s clear that you’re not working with somebody who is willing to do the prep and the work. With Kamala you have to put up with a constant amount of soul-destroying criticism and also her own lack of confidence. So you’re constantly sort of propping up a bully and it’s not really clear why.”
