She Said She Had A Good Reason For Setting Her Dog On Fire, And It Is Absolutely Sick…

A Missouri woman has confessed to burning her mother’s dog alive as a sacrifice in a sickening ritual.

Brianna Lynn Lingo, 29, from Missouri has been charged with animal abuse by torture and mutilation while the dog was still alive and stealing an animal. Lingo committed the crime at her mother’s house in Moberly, just north of Columbia. It came to light after the woman’s mother called 911 asking for help.

According to her mother, Lingo killed her dog, a terrier mix, as part of a “ritual sacrifice.” The police officers found the dog’s remains in a fire pit in the courtyard of the house.

“To my knowledge, we haven’t had any reports like this in Moberly that I can recollect anyways. This was the first one of those,” Troy Link, Moberly’s chief of police, told ABC17 News. “Of course, we investigated different animal abuse cases over the years but never one to this extent that I’m aware of.”

Lingo admitted it twice, after reading her rights to it,  Chief Link told the outlet.

“It’s a fairly straightforward case,” said the police chief, who had no recollection of other such cases in the city north of Colombia.

Lingo was arrested and sent to Randolph County Jail with a $15,000 bond. Although she was charged with felonies and jail time, we must demand a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory counseling.

It is devastating to imagine the suffering this dog must have endured in their final moments and we must do everything in our power to ensure this never happens again.

While we cannot change the horrific treatment that many animals have already endured in the past, we can give animals a voice and hold perpetrators accountable for crimes in the present and the future. We should join hands and demand a lifetime ban on animal ownership and counseling for this woman!
