An elderly woman who was about to be raped by a teenager who breaks into her house was saved by his accomplice.
According to the U.K. Metro, the teenagers planned to burglarize the elderly woman’s home Neath, South Wales, but not before the would-be rapist drank two bottles of vodka and smoked some marijuana. He allegedly had sex with his mother’s friend numerous times before the two left the house, and the would-be rapist was reportedly “intoxicated and sexually aroused” when the two set out to rob the woman.
When the attacker forced himself upon the woman, she screamed, and that’s when someone intervened on the attack. He even apologized to the woman, the Metro reported.
It was his 17-year-old accomplice who stepped in and prevented the attack.
Swansea Crown Court heard that he then went to police to confess to the burglary and hand his mate in telling them he ‘couldn’t keep what had happened a secret’.
The would-be rapist has now been jailed for four years for the attack in Neath, South Wales. He will be on the sex offenders register for life.
The teenager told police ‘Nobody can hate me more than I hate myself.’
The attacker, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to attempted rape and the fellow burglar was released with a caution.
His accomplice, who was also underage, was released with a warning.
Judge Peter Heywood said the attacker had a “whole host of problems” and also told him he had “effectively ruined” the rest of his victim’s life.
Let’s hope this young man will spend his days in jail regretting what he attempted to do to an elderly woman.
Let’s also hope his buddy learned an important lesson from the ordeal and finds some better friends to hang out with.
