RINO Senator Susan Collins Says She Will Vote in Support of Motion to Allow Witnesses and Documents to be Subpoenaed

(Gateway Pundit) – RINO Senator Susan Collins (ME) said Thursday night that she will vote in support of the motion to allow witnesses and documents to be subpoenaed.

An earlier report by ABC News said McConnell has the votes to block witnesses.

The vote on Friday is expected to be very close.

“In keeping with the model used for the impeachment trial of President Clinton, at this point, Senators are able to make an informed judgment about what is in dispute and what is important to the underlying issues,” Collins wrote.

“I believe hearing from witnesses would give each side the opportunity to more fully and fairly make their case, resolve any ambiguities, and provide additional clarity. Therefore, I will vote in support of the motion to allow witnesses and documents to be subpoenaed,” she added.

The Democrats are clamoring to get former National Security Advisor John Bolton in to testify against Trump after a manuscript of his new book leaked to the New York Times.

Bolton’s book leak, which was conveniently timed to disrupt the impeachment trial, alleges Trump tied the US military aid to Ukraine to Biden investigations.

Senator Lamar Alexander on Thursday night announced he will vote against impeachment witnesses.

Chad Pergram says the Senate does not appear to have the votes to open the door to witnesses tomorrow night. Collins and Romney for witnesses. Alexander opposed. Even if Murkowski is a yes, they don’t have the votes. 50-50 vote is a tie, which by rule, fails.
