Man Pulls Down Jogger’s Shorts To Sexually Assault Her, Makes BIG Mistake

When 19-year-old Robert Flynn allegedly assaulted a jogger by pulling down her shorts, little did he know she was an off-duty Deputy U.S. Marshal enjoying an early morning run.

The marshal was running along a trail that runs parallel to River Avenue toward the 16th Street Bridge in Pittsburgh when Flynn ran up behind her, grabbed her backside and pulled her shorts to her ankles.

In a Pittsburgh police criminal complaint filed by the woman, who was off-duty at the time of the attack, Flynn reportedly ran toward Anderson Street following his crime and she chased after him.

“Federal marshal,” she is said to have yelled. “Stop!”

As Flynn continued to run, she followed and asked pedestrians to call 911.

The marshal eventually caught up to Flynn and cornered him on a staircase at an apartment building. According to the marshal, Flynn flung himself at her, but she kicked him in the crotch and punched him in the face.

The U.S. Marshal is 5-feet-5-inches tall and weighs 150 pounds, while Flynn is 6-feet-4-inches tall and weighs 210 pounds.

Flynn was arrested and taken to Allegheny County Jail where he was charged with aggravated assault, indecent assault, escape and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer. When police asked Flynn to state his case, he responded, “I plead the Fifth.”

The judge ordered Flynn to be held on a $500,000 bond.

The marshal took herself to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where she was treated for an injured finger.
