 Actress Margaret Ann Garza Dead At 31 (Video)

Former beauty queen and actress Margaret Ann Garza has been found dead at age 31 (video below).

Garza was found dead at her Round Rock, Texas, home on May 30 at about 6:30 a.m., the New York Post reported. She was best known for her role in “Mercury Plains” with Scott Eastwood.
The cause of death is currently unknown, and officials are still investigating.

Garza won Miss Texas Belleza Latina 2007 and Miss Belleza Latina International 2008, Extra TV reported. She went on to appear in movies such as “Blackout” and “Snatch ‘n’ Go,” and also appeared in the new AMC show “The Son.”

Garza attended Alexander High School. She graduated from Texas A&M International University with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. She recently obtained her broker’s insurance license.

In addition to being a former beauty queen and actress, Garza also worked as a regional director for a life insurance company. Some of her hobbies included singing, pageantry, acting and modeling, according to her obituary.

“I speak for a lot people when I say that any person who crossed paths with Margaret knew she was a charismatic individual who had this aura surrounding her with so much positivity,” El Cenizo Mayor Raul L. Reye, who knew Garza from her beauty pageant days, told My San Antonio.

“She seemed to see the good in people,” Reyes continued. “There was never a dull moment with her.”

Filmmaker Ryan Bazan took to YouTube to post a tribute video in memory of Garza. Several commenters extended their condolences.

“Was so lucky we got to do 4 films together and were about to do a fifth – Tumbleweed will be dedicated to her,” wrote one user.

“Didn’t know her or even knew who she was…. I just happened to read it on Facebook,” wrote another. “How sad she seemed like a lovely person. Prayers to her family. May she Rip.”

“It’s so sad she is so young life is so short I can’t believe this she look like full of life and this video my sympathy goes to her mom and dad and her whole family God bless her in heaven,” another user commented.

A service for Garza will be held on June 2 at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Vigil for the Deceased and Rosary will be recited at 7. The funeral will be held on the following day at Patrick Catholic Church.
