15yo Arrested For The Death Of A Young Youtube Star [VIDEO]

A 15-year-old boy who is yet to be identified has reportedly been arrested in the murder investigation of a 10-year-old girl who disappeared last week in Colorado.

Initial investigations say Kiaya Campbell vanished Wednesday while walking with her stepbrother from her home in Thorton.

Local police in the Denver suburb would not confirm or deny if the teen under arrest was the 10-year-old’s stepbrother who last seen with Campbell.

“It’s still ongoing, and there are still things to tie up at this time,” Thorton Police Department spokesman Victor Avila said. “That’s why we’re keeping it close to the vest … to make sure we get a successful prosecution at the end of this.”

Authorities have arrested the 15-year-old boy, name will not be released because he is a juvenile, for investigation of first-degree murder.

Campbell’s stepbrother who with her before the time of her disappearance told police that the pair got separated during a rain shower, although some neighbors denied that it rained that evening.

Campbell’s body was then found in a wooded area more than a mile away from where the girl was last seen. Authorities said her body had signs of severe trauma and detectives are investigating if she was sexually assaulted before being executed.

Adams County coroner said it was “other than accidental,” but the girl’s cause of death has not been officially released.

The girl is well-known for frequently posting videos to YouTube on her favorite hobbies, that includes making slime, singing karaoke and Pokemon cards.

“It was literally in my front yard,” one woman identified only as Janelle said. “And I really didn’t sleep for two nights.”

A GoFundMe page set up by the girl’s mother has exceeded $14,000 as of Monday.

“This beautiful soul was stolen from us. We appreciate everything everyone has done in this situation. Now we just appreciate anything anyone can do to help out [sic] her to rest,” the page said. “I can’t thank everyone personally one on one and I am sorry for that. I do want to say that we are so thankful that so many of you are helping our baby rest. As her memorial comes we will inform everyone about it.”
